RECEPTION – Duties and Procedures
- Experienced in using ‘PRESTO’ Hotel
Management System (Software)
- Answering telephone inquiries, taking reservations, transferring calls
and recording messages
- Check IN / OUT procedures
Cashier Procedures:-
- Receive and charge transactions on PRESTO
- Provide account details, payment receipts and troubleshooting incorrect
accounts
- Manage cash and till records and balance shift transactions
- Operate EFTPOS Machines (take deposits and perform refunds)
RESERVATIONS – Duties and Procedures
- Providing information and explanations of accommodation facilities, services
provided and activities / attractions
- Recording reservation details and guest details
- Creating new accounts and entering details into PRESTO and sending confirmation
letters
- Contacting guests via telephone, email, fax and mail regarding new and
existing reservations and inquiries

HOUSEKEEPING – Duties
and Procedures

staff.)
- Clean rooms and bathrooms with correct chemicals
- Make beds and fold towels
- Maintain hallways, stairs and guest toilets
- Record linen counts
- Maintain storeroom, ordering new stock, packing dirty
linen
- Counting and stacking clean linen and stock on
shelves
NIGHT
AUDIT – Duties and Procedures
- Balance reception and restaurant transactions for
total revenue and settle EFTPOS Machines
- Post accommodation and complete reports
- Create Flash report for daily revenue summary of entire
resort
- Package cash, cheque etc in banking bags and record
on report
- Clean public areas including: lounge, walkways,
toilets and reception desk and area
